Background

Process Oriented Psychology has always had a focus on the dreaming process in relationships. This method values verbal communication-based methods and says that we need to be able to go deeper into all kinds of nonverbal and dreamlike signals. Several of us have worked to add to this body of knowledge by further developing Process Oriented family therapy; Process Oriented sex and intimacy work; Processwork with children and youths and their relationships, and other parts of this work.

Processwork builds awareness of systems and not just individuals operating within a system. Disturbances in relationship are not only viewed as problems but as opportunities to wake up to the deeper, essence level of relationship.
